On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Tazewell Primary hosted a Family Engagement Meeting where families received important testing and Title I information. The evening’s activities were inspired by The Scarecrow by Beth Ferry. Parents and students enjoyed a story walk through the hallway and participated in a variety of themed literacy stations.
The event concluded with everyone sharing walking tacos and each family receiving a beautiful hardcopy of The Scarecrow, complete with take-home literacy activities for parents and children to enjoy together.

A huge congratulations to Lillian Wimmer and Jillian Crisp. Lillian was chosen to serve as Secretary for the state JAGCA offices and Jillian Crisp was chosen to serve as a delegate. They are both featured in this month’s JVG newsletter. Way to go, Lillian and Jillian!

This season, the Graham High School Golf Team had an incredible run, finishing the Southwest District Tournament with an impressive team score of 299.
Noah Mulkey, a freshman, was named Southwest District Player of the Year.
Cooper Hale led the tournament with the lowest round of the day, shooting a 72.
Coach Colby Hill was recognized for his outstanding leadership as Southwest District Coach of the Year.
The team continued their success at the Region 2D Tournament, finishing as runners-up.
Bailey Goodson led the way with a phenomenal 68 (four under par), earning the title of Region 2D Player of the Year.
Dawson Goins delivered a strong performance, shooting a 71, and was named to the All-Region 2D Team.
Their dedication, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence culminated in the ultimate achievement — capturing the 2025 Class 2A State Championship! 🏌️♂️
The G-Men brought home the State Title, finishing with a team score of 297 to secure the championship.

At tonight’s school board meeting, Richlands High School student Tyler Howard was recognized alongside his masonry instructor, Mr. Robert Steele.
