Bus 47 will pick up bus 10 students up just like yesterday afternoon.
Bus 20 will be covered as follows:
Bus 48 will have students that live on Mundytown Road.
Bus 34 will have students that live from the entrance of Baptist Valley to Rasnake Road.
Bus 33 will have students that live after Rasnake Road


The following buses will not be running in the Richlands area this afternoon (4/4/25).
Bus 5 will not run:
Bus 1 F&M, Taylor Circle, and Mill Creek
Bus 14 Reedy, Rodeo, and Westmont Roads
Bus 64 Four-lane West Bound
Bus 65 Silver Spur and Food City Gas n Go
Bus 15 will not run:
Bus 35 Airport Road and Wardell Road to Midway Grocery
Bus 77 College Estates and After Midway Grocery to RT 610
Bus 97 Four-lane to college, Cumberland, and Industrial Park


Tazewell Area:
Bus 20 will not run again this evening.
Buses 48, 34, and 33 will drop off those students.

Bus Changes-3/28/25
Richlands Area:
Bus 5 will not run this evening. Buses 1, 64, 65, and 14 will bring those students home.
Tazewell Area:
Bus 20 will not run this evening. Buses 48, 34, and 33 will bring those students home.


Tazewell Area: Bus 20 will not run tomorrow (3/28/25). Bus 48 will pick up Mundytown. Bus 34 will pick up Adria Road up to and including Rasnake Rd. Bus 33 will pick up from Rasnake Road to Dailys Chapel. We apologize for any inconvenience.


The Cumberland Plateau Health District will be offering required school vaccinations in April for rising 7th and 12th-grade students. Pre-registration is required. You can go to https://redcap.link/cpspring25 to pre-register.



Tazewell Area:
Bus 20 will not run on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Bus 33 will pick up students to Rasnake Road.
Bus 34 will pick up students from Rasnake Rd. to Adria Rd.

Spring Break this year starts on Friday, April 18, and ends on April 22nd. Students, faculty, and staff will return to school on Wednesday, April 23rd.!


Ezekiel Mullins, an RHS senior, was recognized this week by the school board for his track accomplishments. He won the indoor AA state track meet for shot put on the last shot put throw of the event with a throw of 52.6 1/2. He also currently holds the state record for AA indoor shot put! Way to throw, Ezekiel!


Jaden Redd (left) and Taryn Stiltner (right) are the co-presidents of the THS DECA chapter. Jaden is also the DECA district president. They are pictured with their advisor B.G. Trump (center). Both ladies received 2nd place at the district-level DECA competitions. Taryn competed in the marketing communications event while Jaden participated in the quick-serve restaurant management category. Jaden and Taryn both placed 6th in their competitions at the state leadership conference in Virginia Beach in the business solutions category. They will be competing in the international DECA conference in Orlando in April! Way to go, ladies!


Wynnter Boyd is a junior at Richlands High School. He was the varsity boy's basketball team's statistical leader in numerous categories and had the highest player rating for the 24/25 season. Among his accomplishments, he became the newest member of the 1,000 Point Club. and was recognized at this week's school board meeting for having 1,037 career points!


Charity Smalling (left) is pictured with Mr. Tyler Brooks, JVG Specialist (center) and Hope Looney (right). Charity and Hope received new laptops from the JVG program to help them with their future educational endeavors. They both plan to attend college to become teachers.

Bus 64 will take 4 lane westbound (Gov. G C Perry Hwy) and the Trinity Tabernacle stop home. Bus 65 will take Silver Spur and Food City Gas and Go stops home.


UPDATE-After receiving the all-clear from the local fire department all Tazewell Primary students, faculty, and staff have reentered the building. We appreciate the quick response from our staff and emergency personnel when the kitchen appliance emitted smoke earlier today.


A kitchen appliance in the Tazewell Primary School cafeteria emitted smoke. As a precaution, students and staff were evacuated while the fire department assessed the situation.
Everyone is safe, and we are awaiting the fire department's all-clear before allowing students back inside. We appreciate the quick response from our staff and emergency personnel to ensure everyone's safety.


Jayden Short was recognized at this week's school board meeting. She is a 9th grader at Tazewell High School and will be attending the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston on June 25-27. The Congress of Future Medical leaders is held at the Univ. of Massachusetts Lowell Campus. This event is an honors-only program for high school students to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the U.S. toward a career in the medical field. Congrats, Jayden!
