Wow! Even though we had to bring our Pre-K/Headstart event for Cedar Bluff Elementary and Richlands Elementary indoors yesterday, you guys helped make it a great success! Thanks for coming out and sharing your smiles with us! It was a blast!

Abigail Rhudy earned 1st in the 300M, 500M, and 1000M races at the indoor state track meet and was recognized at Monday’s school board meeting. Abigail is now an 8-time state champion in various running events spanning cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. We believe she is the most decorated athlete in VHSL history, but can't find anyone to confirm it at the VHSL. She is pictured with Coach Keene.


This week our school board recognized students who participated in the state indoor track meet last month.

THS Swim Team was recognized by the school board for their accomplishments at the 2A State Swim and Dive Competition held at Virginia Beach.
Kim Nguyen- 3rd 100 yd freestyle, 5th 200 yd freestyle
Maddy Sawyers- 9th 200 yd freestyle and 10th 500 yd freestyle
Maddy was also inducted as the State Vice President of FBLA representing the New River Region and placed first in Electronic Career Portfolio.
Tristan Williams- 20th 50 yd freestyle
Girls 200 and 400 yd freestyle relay finished 13th in both events. The relay team was Kim Nguyen, Maddy Sawyers, Madi Nunley and Amber O’Quinn.

GHS Swim Team was recognized by the Board at this week’s school board meeting. At the state level, Graham Swim competed against 28 teams with 300 swimmers present. The team was led by Coach Douthat.
The Girls Swim Team members are Blaire Anderson, Ivory Mitchell, and Aubrey Marrs. Aubrey placed 8th in the 100-meter freestyle race and 12th in the 100-meter breaststroke race.
The Boys Swim Team members are Wesley Jones, Ty Jones, Chase Ramey, and Easton Webb. As a group, they placed 11th in the 200-meter relay and 7th in the 400-meter relay. Ty Jones finished 16th in the 50-meter freestyle and 8th in the 100-meter freestyle. Easton Webb finished 6th in the 100-meter freestyle and 9th in the 200-meter freestyle.
