Bus 64 will not run tomorrow. Bus 1 will cover Southern Branch, Jacks Creek, and Red Root Ridge Road. Bus 30 will pick up Lake Park. Bus 65 will pick up Laramie Road. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Graham Middle School’s Brain Games team was recognized at this week’s school board meeting. They were undefeated and won 1st place in the county! Congrats to these outstanding students! 🎉

Richlands Elementary and Cedar Bluff Elementary held their Collaborative Enrollment Event for Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start at the Richlands Farmers' Market on April 16. It was a great turnout of families, students, teachers, and community members. Families received resources and assistance with registration.

Nineteen Tazewell County students participated in the Virginia State History Day Competition on April 26 and April 27 in Richmond, Virginia. Ethan Patton (RMS) placed third in the Individual Exhibit (Junior) category. Ethan also won the Constitutional HIstory and Civics Prize. Ellie Lentner (GIS) placed first in the Individual Exhibit (Elementary) category. Kya Dales (RES) placed second in the Individual Performance (Elementary) category. Jackson Buchanan (RES) won the White House Historical Association Award.

School bus drivers are often the first smile students see in the morning and the last goodbye in the afternoon. They build relationships, create a sense of safety, and play a vital role in the daily rhythm of our schools.

Dudley Primary and Abb's Valley-Boissevain Elementary held a Collaborative Enrollment Event for Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start on Thursday, April 23. There was a fantastic turnout with families receiving resources from over twenty community agencies. A big "thank you" to the Graham High School Band members who provided music for the event.

Richlands High School won 1st place overall in Division 1 at the Southwest Community College 2026 Math Contest. Congrats to these amazing students! 🎉
