Tazewell County's Special Education Advisory Committee will meet on November 19th at 1 p.m. at the TCCTC Student Center.

⛳️ Congratulations to the 2025 Graham High School Golf Team — 2A State Champions! 🏆

This season, the Graham High School Golf Team had an incredible run, finishing the Southwest District Tournament with an impressive team score of 299.

Noah Mulkey, a freshman, was named Southwest District Player of the Year.

Cooper Hale led the tournament with the lowest round of the day, shooting a 72.

Coach Colby Hill was recognized for his outstanding leadership as Southwest District Coach of the Year.

The team continued their success at the Region 2D Tournament, finishing as runners-up.

Bailey Goodson led the way with a phenomenal 68 (four under par), earning the title of Region 2D Player of the Year.

Dawson Goins delivered a strong performance, shooting a 71, and was named to the All-Region 2D Team.

Their dedication, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence culminated in the ultimate achievement — capturing the 2025 Class 2A State Championship! 🏌️‍♂️
The G-Men brought home the State Title, finishing with a team score of 297 to secure the championship.

This week, Senator Travis Hackworth and Delegate Will Morefield (represented by Tom Lester) presented a joint resolution in memory of Mr. George Brown during the TCPS school board meeting.

Mr. Brown’s family received the resolution in recognition of his many years of dedication, service, and lasting impact on our schools and community.

All Tazewell County Public Schools will operate on a regular schedule on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. We look forward to seeing all of our students and staff for a great day of learning!

Abb’s Valley-Boissevain Elementary hosted a cozy and fun-filled “S’more Reading Please” themed Family Engagement Event on October 16, 2025!

Thanks to the clicker count in the library, we’re excited to share that 113 people attended the event! Families enjoyed time together while celebrating the joy of reading, with a campfire-inspired atmosphere, sweet treats, and great books.

At tonight’s school board meeting, Richlands High School student Tyler Howard was recognized alongside his masonry instructor, Mr. Robert Steele. Tyler earned first place in the SkillsUSA Masonry Competition at the Virginia State Fair. Congratulations, Tyler, and great job to Mr. Steele for his excellent instruction! 🎉

🚨 October 7, 2025 — There was an arrest outside Richlands High School. The individual never entered the building and was not found with any weapons. Authorities responded quickly, and there was no direct threat to students or staff.
