Tazewell County Public Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay Thursday, January 16, 2025.
At its January meeting this week, the Tazewell County School Board recognized Ms. Sophia Robinson, a junior at Graham High School, for being selected for the United States Senate Page Program during the Spring 2025 session which runs from January 26, 2025, until June 26, 2025.
The United States Senate Page Program introduces students from diverse backgrounds to many interesting and challenging experiences. Living away from home with students from across the country allows Pages to experience a myriad of new ideas and perspectives as well as develop skills in communication and compromise. Pages learn the value of public service while meeting some of our nation’s most prominent leaders and witnessing firsthand the political debates of the United States Senate.

Tazewell County School Board recognized the Graham High School Golf Team for finishing up their season as Class Two state runners-up at this week's school board meeting.
In addition to team accolades, many individuals on the team were honored this year. Bailey Goodson was named District Player of the Year and a member of the All-District Team. Cooper Hale was also named to the All-District Team. Lastly, McCartney Hinkle was named to the All-District Team and was the District, Region, and State Tournament Champion! Congratulations to the team!
Our school board proudly recognized Mr. Bruce Miller, Ms. Caitlin Hutchinson, and Dr. Henry Carl Hess at the December school board meeting for their outstanding contributions to the TCPS music programs. Their leadership, dedication, and innovation have not only enriched the lives of their students but also brought pride to the community through exceptional performances and unwavering commitment to excellence.
