On Monday, March 13, 2023, Senator Travis Hackworth visited Tazewell County Public Schools. He read the book “I Love Strawberries” to the students in Ms. Tammy Stiltner's first-grade class at Richlands Elementary School. He also read to students in Ms. Martin's kindergarten class at Cedar Bluff Elementary. Mr. Cordle and the kindergarten students also sang a song for Senator Hackworth at Cedar Bluff Elementary School. His visit was sponsored by Farm Bureau’s Agriculture In The Classroom program. Representatives from Farm Bureau's Agriculture in the Classroom program and school board member Chris Moir were also in attendance.
